Recruiting Efforts Score New Talent for Transocean’s SAM Division

When Transocean’s South America Division (SAM) Workforce Planning Team arrived at a recruiting event last October, they had 500 potential candidates to participate in the company’s new Operations Management Development Program (OMDP). When they left, just 80 had made the cut to undergo further interviews on October 22 and 24, 2010, at our Rio de Janeiro office. In the end, four engineers were selected to participate in the Division’s new Operations Management Development Program (OMDP), which is a source of future management talent at the company.
Welcome Aboard!
The four new OMDPs for SAM are: Andre Gustavo Goncalves Ribeiro, Giorgio Bampi Junior, Lazar Leon Kowarski, and Marcelo Moraes Costa.
The OMDP is a two-year development program aimed at engineers with previous work experience. Through the program, Transocean develops the potential of participants, offering them the training needed to become true leaders.
Supporting the OMDP program is just one of the activities carried out by SAM’s Workforce Planning team. In addition to working on OMDP, the team makes sure that Transocean is a visible part of local recruiting events. They also recently increased their focus on existing talent within the company, and conducted an internal recruiting program for Labor Safety Technicians (RSTTs). Through the program, four employees were promoted to RSTTs: Marcos Vinicius Sessa, João Paulo Gaudino, Leandro Junger and Davi Dias Peralva. Congratulations on your new positions
