U.K. North Sea Division Raises over $32,000 for Local Charities

Over 450 people attended an annual charity event organized by Transocean’s Dave McEwen, Manager, Human Resources, and Lyndsay Docherty, Human Resources, U.K. North Sea (NRS) Division. The charity event held at the Pipderdam Gold and Leisure Resort drew the largest crowd in its history, dating back to 2000, and raised a record $32,000, or £20,500 pounds.

The golfing, fishing, and shooting outdoor two-day challenge event was supported and attended by employees from rigs in the North Sea division, and every department out of the Aberdeen office. The funds raised will be split between Alzheimer’s Scotland Aberlour Childcare Trust Cancer Research Trust Aberdeen Neo-Natal Unit and CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).

A special “thank you” was mentioned to those involved in the fundraising efforts and support at the events: Lyndsay Docherty, Kelly Henderson, Leanne Small, May Cook, Tegan Harley, Allana Black, Jane Keenan, Heather Reid, Kathleen Reid and Maureen Duguid.

Dave also wanted to say “a huge thank you from me to all of the ladies who helped raise this fantastic amount of money as they were all very busy keeping both days going well. A very special mention must go to Lyndsay Docherty from the NRS Human Resources department who worked with me organizing both events and her attention to detail was first class in everything required.”
