Transocean Employees Show Support for Our Veterans

Team Red, White and Blue (RWB) Texas led by Transocean’s Gary Bartels, Division Manager, Human Resources, North America Division, hosted its third annual Team Red, White and Blue Golf Tournament on October 5.  They also joined forces this year with Hope for the Warriors and ConocoPhillips to hold the 2012 Warrior Sporting Clays Tournament on October 6, 2012.  Both events were held in the Houston area, and the two-day event surpassed last year’s participation and funds raised, totaling over $225,000. Over the past two years, the events have seen increasing numbers of participants from Transocean. Gary explains that it is his “absolute goal to not only get more and more folks from Transocean out to these events in support of our Texas Veterans, but to also get the company to become an overall sponsor of future event.”

Team RWB is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to improve the quality of life for our Veterans and their families. Gary helped found the national non-profit organization in 2009 and now serves as the Team RWB Texas State Chapter Director in support of five Texas Chapters. Anyone interested in supporting Team RWB can send Gary an email at
